We are now officially celebrating our first anniversary here at Gatekeeper Communications. It’s been a challenging year, with lots learnt, lots celebrated and lots of work! Over the past year, we’ve worked with a variety of different clients in copy writing and PR projects across different sectors and it’s been a thoroughly enjoyable challenge getting to know every one of them.
To celebrate Gatekeeper Communications’ anniversary, we thought we would take a look back at some of our key highlights over the past twelve months.
Making the most of your blog and content planning strategies
It’s always interesting to look back and see where the bulk of the work comes from. We can see that most of our work revolves around content planning and writing blogs for our clients. If you’ve read our previous blog which explores how to make your blog the hardest working page on your website, you’ll understand exactly why blogs are so important for any business. Many of our clients agree, and it’s always a pleasure to write about new services, showcase client knowledge or highlight client achievements. The flexibility of blog writing means that we can adapt to different tones of voice and work closely with SEO teams to create optimised content which engages and resonates with readers.
Using PR to promote your business
Over the past year, we’ve also worked hard to provide effective PR services for our clients. Through our understanding of the media, we know what makes a strong news story and most importantly, how to approach journalists. We were particularly pleased to help a client gain coverage in national consumer magazines as well as helping them to make the most of TV opportunities in recent months and it’s an interesting challenge to see how the newspapers and magazines will continue to evolve in the future.
Sharing our knowledge with others
This year, we’ve spoken at several different networking events and had the opportunity to share our knowledge and insights with others. It’s always interesting to speak to people to find out their experiences and knowledge of marketing and PR. Some people prefer to take a long-term strategic approach to marketing whilst others prefer elements of the marketing mix which provide an immediate ROI.
Part of our role as an external consultancy is to work with clients to help them understand the best approach for their business. Marketing should never be a one-size fits all solution, and one of the best parts of our business is being able to work closely with our clients to help them achieve results.
