New PR Resources hub for busy SMEs in Suffolk and Essex

If you run an SME in Ipswich, you’ll know this feeling well. There’s never enough time in the day. You’re doing the work, keeping customers happy, managing the books, sorting staff, answering emails… and somewhere on that never-ending list sits “PR” or “update the website copy” or “sort out our online reputation”.
And let’s be honest, it rarely gets done.
Not because you don’t want to, but because you don’t have the time or the know-how.
Most small businesses in towns like Ipswich and Colchester tell me the same thing:
“We want better PR, but we don’t have the time, the budget, or the headspace to do everything ourselves.”
And that’s exactly why I’ve pulled all my PR and copywriting resources together into one simple hub.
Why I created a PR resources hub for SMEs
I work with many brilliant, hardworking SMEs across Suffolk and Essex, and the pattern is always the same. You’re stretched, multitasking, and juggling a hundred responsibilities. PR, communications and copywriting often end up being the things you know you should do… but can’t quite get to.
You tell me
- “We don’t have the time.”
- “We don’t want to waste money guessing.”
- “We’d love some simple, practical guidance.”
- “We’re not sure which bits we can manage in-house and which bits we should outsource.”
So, I thought, why not make this easier?
Instead of scattering guides, templates, explainers and checklists across blog posts and emails, I’ve created one place where you can find practical, no-nonsense content written specifically for local SMEs just like you.
For the PR and copywriting tasks, you can do yourself
This isn’t a resource hub full of jargon or theory. It’s built for real businesses, in the real world. The kind who have 10 minutes between jobs, not whole days to dedicate to marketing.
It’s there for times when you catch yourself thinking:
- “How do I check our online reputation quickly?”
- “What’s the fastest way to improve our Google presence?”
- “How do I write a press release without sounding robotic?”
- “Do I really need PR support — or can I handle this bit myself?”
- “What does a freelance PR consultant actually do?”
Everything is written with SMEs in mind. It’s clear, practical, quick to read, and ready to use immediately.
And for the PR and marketing tasks, you shouldn’t have to do alone
As a freelance PR and copywriting consultant, I’ll always be honest with you. Some things are easier, faster and more effective when you outsource them.
And as a business owner myself, I’m trying to follow this advice (and I’ll admit, I’m not always good at following my own advice!).
But there are many tasks that you absolutely can manage yourself, as long as you’ve got the right starting point.
I want this PR resource hub to help you see the difference.
It saves you time, stress, and money by helping you focus on what genuinely helps your business and where you can free up your time, money, and headspace.
You don’t need to become a PR expert. You just need tools that work when you need them.
Explore my PR Resources (and tell me what you’d love to see next)
I’ll be adding more guides, templates and how‑tos over the coming months, all designed to help Ipswich and Colchester SMEs take control of their PR and reputation at their own pace.
If something is missing, don’t be afraid to ask. I’m always happy to create practical resources that genuinely help local businesses.
I’ve worked as a freelance PR consultant in Ipswich for years, and I know that the local business community is extremely warm and welcoming. I want to share my advice and know-how with you, so you can thrive.
