Why your business needs a marketing magazine (and how simple it can be)

Creating your own magazine or brochure is a proper boost to your content marketing, you don’t need to break the bank or panic about your schedule. With costs starting from just £125–£200 per page, you’ll invest in an asset that pays dividends for 6–12 months, not just a one-off email.

With my freelance copywriting knowledge and PR expertise, I can help you to

  • Build trust page by page. Hand your staff and clients a savvy read they’ll actually look forward to instead of generic email blasts.
  • Position your expertise. Showcase your success stories, Q&As with industry leaders or customers, and underline your authority in every issue.
  • Repurpose for maximum ROI. I’ll turn each article into blogs, email series or social snippets, feeding your pipeline long after the print run.
  • Stand out from the crowd. While other SMEs stick to LinkedIn posts, you’ll deliver a beautifully branded magazine people hold, share and talk about. You can take this with you to sales meetings, hand out to visitors on your exhibition stands, or email directly to your customers.
  • Keep costs in check. With writing-only packages starting from £1,000 per issue, you gain a cost-effective tool that unites teams, nurtures leads and cements your brand voice.

Marketing magazine case study

“We commissioned Amy to produce our magazine on the strength of her understanding of our target audience and the proven quality demonstrated by her other work for us. The project ran smoothly and on time due to the clear planning and regular communications from Amy. This ensured project landmarks were met, allowing for the design and print process to follow on schedule. We are delighted with the finished magazine, which has been well-received by our readers who have provided lots of positive feedback!”

Challenge
Create a magazine which genuinely reflected the voice of the client’s profession

Approach
I was asked to project manage the production of a client’s quarterly magazine. As part of the brief, I had to create a detailed page plan, write or co-ordinate each article and liaise with the client’s in-house design team regarding the final artwork and proof-reading stage of the magazine production

Results
The client received

  • A 32-page magazine (a special summer, bumper edition)
  • Featuring interviews with five high profile organisations with links to the client’s sector
  • Within two weeks, the publication had been read over 1,600 times – over 80% of its target readership!
  • The magazine was delivered under the estimated budget
